About Counselling

Many people, at some point in their lives, find they need to talk.  This can be due to such issues as bereavement, relationship difficulties or feelings of low self esteem.  Counselling provides clients with the opportunity to talk through these issues and work with the counsellor to achieve some understanding and resolution to their problems.  The main aim of counselling is to help the clients work towards a more satisfying and peaceful experience of life.

In counselling, the client/counsellor relationship is one of the most important aspects and I offer a safe, confidential and relaxed environment in which to create this relationship. I aim to provide a secure place where you can feel heard, understood and accepted without feeling judged and where you can feel supported enough to explore painful and difficult thoughts and feelings.

Whether you have a specific problem to resolve, a deep-seated or complex emotional issue or a general feeling of dissatisfaction, counselling can help you find understanding, acceptance and resolution.

Couples Counselling

Relationships are one of the most important and rewarding aspects of life but maintaining a healthy and happy relationship isn't easy. There may be times when things get stuck and communication becomes difficult. Couples Counselling can provide a safe environment where couples can identify and work through problems and find a more effective way to communicate. I will encourage couples to speak freely and listen intently to each other in order that they both get an opportunity to be heard and understood.

Couples Counselling can also support couples who are separating/divorcing to deal with feelings such as anger and grief.
